A quick trip to Charlotte and my daughter in law chose this place, Community Matters Cafe. The food is delicious and the staff is friendly, our server Nakia was awesome. Angel came over with our check and gave us an explanation of this place. The cafe is a life skills program for individuals graduating, the Charlotte Rescue Mission. Tips are donations to maintain the mission. You can enjoy a delicious meal and help a great cause. I love that my hot tea was not a basic tea bag but loose tea that was tied in a bag 🩷. 🍴 Sugar toasted French toast 🍴 Egg sandwich w/home fries

ANNE with Offline - A place to fill your belly and your heart. I think that this mission is not only heartwarming to help the community but they have not skimped on the flavor or creative license of the chefs! From the coziest, spiced chai to the savory peach toast! Sooooo amazing! Definitely try this out when you are in the area. This restaurant never disappoints! The food is crafted with so much flavor and thought. Each time I come is an opportunity to try something new with friends while supporting a community that is overlooked. The chefs here know what they are doing and the staff is so sweet. Both times have had long wait times for the food but it was worth it! Definitely a repeat for just a coffee shop or the restaurant portion.
This place was by far the highlight of our eating experience in Charlotte NC this weekend. All of the many staff are friendly and welcoming ! The food is absolutely delicious and very unique. You will leave there wanting to return soon. The concept for this place makes a great impact on the people there. I wish every community had a place like this. It gives you hope for others that are struggling to make it, and you get to be a part of that.
The seasonal menu fruit shortcake pancakes were SOOOO yummy. The meaning behind this restaurant is very near to my heart being 4 years sober myself. Please be patient and open hearted when visiting here!!
The food, coffee, and people here are incredible! I met Will and his team and was blown away! Chef Shay and her crew made the most delicious food ever ! Sarah and Megan made sure everything was great for our shoot as well!
