Dining at Letty’s on Shamrock in Charlotte was a pretty good experience. They served Southern comfort food in a homey atmosphere. We got the Honey Pecan Chicken with the sides of fried okra, sweet potato fries, broccoli casserole and coleslaw. The sides tasted pretty delicious. The broccoli casserole and sweet potato fries were out of this world, and both are highly recommended. We thought the honey pecan chicken could’ve used a bit more flavour, so we ended up having it with some hot sauce. The server was quite polite and funny. It was nice chatting with her. We really felt the southern hospitality, thanks to her. There’s parking outside, and you might want to check their hours prior to visiting. We will be back here to try their other dishes and desserts.

Letty’s is a local unpretentious & friendly place. The food was delicious! We had marinated chicken, black eyed pea salad, pimento fritters, the creole, and the peanut butter pie. Oh…and lemonade made on the spot. Service was super friendly too. We highly recommend Letty’s!

My first time here and certainly won’t be my last. I went for a special event, a drag brunch and as an alley myself I loved hearing abt the story that Letty’s is one too and that is a safe place for people in the lifestyle. I think that is beautiful! The event included a buffet brunch, and my gosh that food was amazing! Seasoned to perfection! I can’t wait to go back on a regular day to try them out but best believe I’ll be back when they have this brunch buffet again:

Letty’s is where you go if you’re from out of town but want to be treated like you live next door. Letty, the owner, is a perfect host and our waiter was poised and kind even while dealing with a full dining room. The nignt we went they were very short staffed due to the flu. We ordered the pimento balls (our favorite), fried green tomatoes, a delicious chicken soup, honey-pecan chicken, creole penne pasta with shrimp and multiple sides. Everything was prepared with care and big flavor. The makers mark old fashioned is priced so fair at $12, was strong and made the way no one makes them anymore, with a muddled cherry and orange at the bottom. The dining room is personal and 100% independent. Don’t miss out on this Charlotte gem.

Delicious brunch with a true hole-in-the-wall feel. Prices were a bit higher than the menu posted online, but portions were generous and everything was fresh. I'd like to come back for dinner sometime!
