Trying to get a warranty refund for over a month now. I provided every document requested in a timely manner, but I guess I don't get the same respect. On Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at 02:22:27 PM the last email I got from April states "Your Permaplate Dent contract will be sent to you from us in the amount of $xxx.xx Please allow up to 2 weeks to receive this refund." Today is 3/4 and still no response from 3+ emails I've sent since last Friday. I've contacted WSOC-TV on an issue I had with another business issue that was cleared up within hours of contacting them so that's looking like the next step - they love things like this. Y'all are THE WORST.

Edit: after weeks of waiting, I have finally heard back from Sonic, and helped me resolving this issue. Due to the fact that this issue was resolved, I have changed my rating. Zero communication and slow refunds. I purchased a vehicle from a dealership where I was told extra warranties (sold by Sonic Automotive) were required for the purchase—a completely deceptive practice. I knew my rights and cancelled all of the extra warranties the very next day (May 28th), well within the 30-day free cancellation window. It has now been over 5 weeks, and Sonic Automotive has been completely unresponsive. Out of the warranties I cancelled, they have only started to process one. The other 4 are still "pending" with zero updates. More importantly, none of the refund money has actually been paid back to my lender yet. It should not take over a month and multiple ignored emails to return funds to a lender when it was requested immediately. Absolutely terrible post-sale customer service. I am willing to remove my review if they reach out to me and resolve this.

In the past 15 years I have bought 12 cars from Sonic Automotive, 4 of which were from BMW of Chattanooga. But after my most recent experience, I will never buy another car from BMW of Chattanooga. On Sept 25th, I bought a used x5 from them. Within the first week the coolant reservoir failed, now 3 weeks later, the check engine came on and now the wastegate actuator and radiator blinds are failing. In addition I have a popping in the front end and a caliper sticking in the rear. In good faith the service advisor agreed to give me a break on the repairs of the radiator blinds and wastegate actuator only but I’m still stuck with a $2000 bill for a car they shouldn’t have resold in the first place. The service manager even told me the car has had a fault code for the wastegate actuator 21 times dating back to right after I bought the car. I approached the dealership about trading it in because it obviously has problems which will most likely continue. They offered me $7000 less than I paid for a car I bought just over a month ago, because they know it’s junk and they will have to dump it at auction. Needless to say, I didn’t take that deal. So now I’m stuck with no recourse other than to write this review to warn others.

I brought my car to fortmill for work with Stephanie Malone (who is horrible and non attentive empathetic or professional) she also doesnt work there anymore snd the new GM who ive already left messages for is no better. This dealer ship had my car for over 90 days!!! I initially took it in for an inspection and oil service. They said my car needed a wheel bearing, new turbo, axel seals, and a battery. I did all the repairs suppested except the battery. When I went to pick it up the first time I left it there because they hit my car. They gave me my keys and tried to hide it from me. My rim and tire had to be replaced and the frame damaged was never acknowledged. From that point on the car has had nothing but more issues. Needing numerous alignments to get it to drive properly again. A shaky speaker in the rear where the car was hit. Crooked trunk door, oil stains from the mechanics all over my driver seat. And no accountability. Beyond this my car is a 2023 Ford escape o. Its second ulterior and third transmission. My car is a lemon and the dealership nor manufacturer holds any accountability. The better business beauru claims went ignored. Reviews ignored. The GM stephanie ignores, argues and is unprofessional beyond words. The new GM is have left messages for is just as bad not returning one call. And now im stuck with a stained car that I dont trust for safety, reliability, or comfort. Truly the worst service I have ever received. Never buying a Ford again and never trusting this dealer ship again.

Title: Disappointed by Volvo Purchase Experience from MB of Walnut Creek I’m deeply disappointed by my recent experience with Mercedes-Benz of Walnut Creek and Sonic Automotive. In July 2025, I purchased a Volvo XC90 Recharge Inscription at a premium price, expecting professionalism and transparency. What I received was anything but. From the start, the sales process was frustrating—constant add-on fees and repeated attempts to run my credit despite my clear statement that I did not need financing. I moved forward in good faith, trusting the vehicle would meet expectations. It did not. The Volvo sat at a local dealership for nearly a month due to a serious recall involving the hybrid battery—a known safety risk. Whether the selling team was aware or not, a simple online check would have revealed this issue before delivery. I also paid $1,200 for vehicle transport, only to have the Volvo trailered behind a pickup truck, arriving with tar splatter and heavy road grime. Not what you'd expect from a luxury dealership. Upon arrival, the vehicle had mismatched tires, no charging cable, and no cargo cover. For an AWD vehicle, mismatched tires pose a real risk—potentially triggering wheel speed sensor faults. I now face over $1,500 in additional costs just to bring the vehicle up to standard: • $700 for proper tires • $650 for the charging cable • $150 for the cargo cover This experience reflects a troubling lack of accountability and attention to detail. I’ve reached out multiple times with no meaningful response. Consumers deserve better. I’m sharing this to help others make informed decisions and to encourage Sonic Automotive and MB of Walnut Creek to take responsibility for the vehicles they sell and the service they provide. Avoid at all costs! They don't deserve any stars. Mercedes Benz of Walnut Creek sold me an unsafe/undrivable 2021 Volvo XC90 Recharge Inscription. It's been sitting at my local Volvo dealer for several weeks due to a very serious open recall involving the hybrid battery - which has the potential to make the vehicle spontaneously combust! It could take up to a month to get the parts/make the highly complex repairs to the vehicle. The Volvo dealer would not even allow me to take the vehicle/bring it back once the parts were available because the car was deemed unsafe to drive/house!! Did Mercedes Benz of Walnut Creek know how serious the recall was prior to selling me the car? Also, MB of WC misrepresented how the car was to be shipped from Northern CA to Southern CA. I paid top dollar to have the car delivered and pick up my trade-in; however, it was delivered on a trailer towed by a pick-up truck. Lastly, MB of WC didn't disclose the vehicle had mismatched tires, was missing the hybrid charging cable and the cargo cover - which are standard items on this model. I've contacted both the dealership/parent company Sonic Automotive, but they've been ignoring my communications. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!! Despite the Dealer response to this post they have not made any attempts to contact us! After 30+ days I received a check indicating I was overcharged by Mercedes Benz of Walnut Creek for DMV fees. Please be cautious if you elect to do business with these people.
