Payments showing up late. We mail our house payment usually the next day after we get our bills. For two months in a row now, we have been told "we don't have it" Then for some reason if we call to check on it, the payment shows up. I shouldn't have to call every month to check on a loan I have been paying on for nearly 20 years. I also asked for the amount to payoff my loan. They were willing to knock off $69 from my loan. May look at my wife's bank where she worked for years and move it to there.

On today, I tried to call the Corporate office and there was a real representative that I spoke with about my account that I was locked out of. I do have the recording on how they handle the call. It was very poor. I did verify myself on three occasions, I will be reporting this to the Better Business Bureau and the Attorney General office on how They handle this call and it was on Management level.

Absolutely love this bank and their app. I have banked with many! Huntington Bank is another good one because of the 24 hour grace period they give, which really helps if you are broke on Thursday and get paid the next day 😊

I opened a Truist account online on a Sunday. I followed every step, verified my information, and set up my direct deposit. I fully expected my paycheck to post that Friday. Instead, I found out (only after my deposit didn’t arrive) that Truist had placed a block on my brand new account without notifying me. No call. No email. No alert. Just a silent hold on my payroll. That decision caused my paycheck to be withheld for two full weeks. During the first week of the month. Horrible timing. I was late on my mortgage. I incurred $170 in overdraft fees on my prior account. When I asked Truist for assistance with those fees (fees that occurred solely because Truist withheld my deposit without notice) my request was denied. To make matters more concerning, when I later followed up seeking resolution, I received an email from Truist’s Consumer Regulatory and Executive Services Team that was clearly intended for another customer. The email contained a member’s full name, their home address, their niece’s address, their checking account information, their case number and detailed fraud claim information. It appears the correspondence was sent to me based solely on a shared first name, without even confirming the recipient. So while my account was restricted in the name of “fraud prevention,” another customer’s private financial information was disclosed to me. The contradiction is hard to ignore. This entire situation could have been prevented with basic communication and proper verification procedures. Instead, I experienced financial hardship and witnessed a serious lapse in data handling. To top it all off, the same day my payroll failed to post, I was traveling for my son’s ear tube surgery. I was hours away and did not have the ability to go into a branch to verify my identity. Had I been told upfront that my payroll would be blocked pending verification, I would have gone into a branch the week I opened the account. Do not bank with Truist.

Horrible business practices!! Imagine depositing checks into your commercial account totaling $2,500. They put a HOLD on your account for 10 days!! Then charge you OVERDRAFT FEES. They tell you “you can get the overdrafts removed once the checks clear”. When the checks deposit you call to get them removed because this is obviously a mistake on the banks end. They tell you NO!! And then hang up on you. Way to STEAL money from your customers I will be reporting this to BBB And FTC/CFB. I can’t wait till there is a class action against this bank. You will go bankrupt off of all the customers you have stolen from.
